Building a Life Together Across Cultures Is Beautiful — and Sometimes Hard.
Intercultural Couples Therapy
A transcultural and systemic approach for couples navigating love, migration, identity, family and belonging.
When two people build a life together across cultures, the challenges often go beyond cultural differences alone.
Questions of belonging, family expectations, parenting, identity, language and the future can become sources of tension, even in loving relationships.
Therapy can offer a space to better understand these dynamics, strengthen communication and create new ways of moving forward together.

My Approach
My work combines systemic psychotherapy with a transcultural perspective.
Rather than seeing partners as representatives of different cultures, I am interested in the unique stories, relationships and experiences that shape each person and their way of being in the world.
Many of the challenges couples face are not simply about communication or cultural differences alone. They are often connected to questions of identity, belonging, family histories, migration experiences, expectations and the different meanings we attach to home, partnership and the future.
In our work together, I bring an attitude of curiosity and genuine interest.
Rather than looking for quick solutions or deciding who is right and who is wrong, we take time to explore the patterns, assumptions and experiences that shape your relationship.
Often, new possibilities emerge when we begin to understand not only what is happening between partners, but also the stories and contexts that each person brings into the relationship.
Having built a life across cultures myself and raising trilingual children, I am familiar with some of the questions that can emerge when different languages, cultural references and senses of belonging meet within a family.
As a systemic psychotherapist working in English, German and Turkish, I support individuals and couples from diverse cultural backgrounds. While my own experiences inform my work, I remain deeply respectful of the uniqueness of every relationship and every story.

Let's Start with a Conversation
Whether you are facing recurring conflicts, navigating a major life transition or simply feeling stuck in familiar patterns, therapy can offer a space to better understand what is happening in your relationship and explore new ways of moving forward together.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, explore your concerns and discuss what you hope to gain from therapy. It also allows you to get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit.
If you already know that you would like to begin couples therapy, you are welcome to book a session directly online.
If you have questions or would like to explore whether working together might be a good fit, feel free to reach out using the contact form below. I also offer a complimentary 15-minute introductory call for couples who would like an initial conversation before booking a session.
